Can't get enough of that cheap russian ammo. I sure wish they would make a 300 whisper. Ofcourse I would hate the idea of trying to clean that surpressor afterwards. One load in a subsonic 220gn hp and a sonic 150 gr sp. Then I would be happy. I guess though they will smell me out before they would hear the rounds. this maybe a good poll question.

Cheap M2 ball spec 30-06, non-corrosive.  Feeding my Garand is getting prohibitive, dammit.

I was under the impression that wolf .308 and 30.06 was on the way.

I cant imagine Wolf in .308 being any cheaper than Port at $149/1000.... and definitely wont be as accurate.  However, if/when the surplus dries up, it sure will be nice FAL blasting ammo.

That reminds me... I think I need to stock up on some more port.

.44 rem mag, (and .357 mag/.38 special, but I don't have a gun in that yet), .45-70, and .30-06. All my other guns are in calibers that Wolf supplies.

If the revolution comes, I am able to use looted supplies.

I tried wolf a few years ago, It was a smokey mess in my AR, it fed like shit and caused a jam that I could not clear on the range. I have not used it since.

It Barnaul any better or has wolf improved in the last few years?

7.62x25 Tokarev & 7.62x39R Nagant.  Never happen with the 7.62x25 though, part of the trade agreement with Russia puts the kibosh on it.  They could have it made elsewhere, like the German made Wolf shotshells.

Wolf has improved.  Try the stuff with the gray casings instead of the green casings.  For cheap blasting ammo at a time when decent 5.56 surplus seems impossible to come by, I think its serviceable.  Of course I would never depend on it for my life, but it doesn't cost 20 cents a shot like SS109 either...

7.62x25 is banned like you said so who knows if we're gonna get that lifted any time soon.

They made 30.06 ammo. But they are not as cheap as the 223 or 762x39. And they are not even close to the M2 ball spec.  So stay away from them.

I love that portuguese 7.62 NATO stuff in the battlepacks, but damn it stinks if you are in an enclosed range area (cough*CCGR*cough).

Wolf and other russkie surplus smells like a sweet bouqet compared to that stuff.

Barnaul .308 sp, 124g fmj 9mm, 147g fmj 9mm, and .38 Special sp. Barnaul has been the most accurate of all the Russian brands in my guns.

That's what I want, too!!  .30 Carbine!  Lots of interest in this type of round from Wolf from just about all Carbine shooters I talk with.
