Not only are these super-high-yield explosives probably being used in many, if not most, of the various suicide and car bombings in Iraq, but these particular explosives are ones used in the triggering process for nuclear weapons.

well he didnt have a WMD program at all, so we have nothing to worry about

NYT?  www.talkingpointsmemo.com?

These are not exactly conservative hawks on terrorism.  On the contrary.  This is going to be a Bush attack.

Joel Mowbray is going to have his anti-Kerry story run in the Washington Times tomorrow, but nobody cares what the Washington Times says

The super high explosives that liberal blogger is wringing his hands over is RDX, aka C-4.  Military demolition explosives.

Yeah, bottom line is we left 350 tons of high explosives unguarded when we went into Iraq.  The material RDX and HMX are dual use for conventional bombs and as triggers for nuclear bombs.

ETA: The bomb making material is likely what is being used against our troops in IEDs.  Most of our casualties have been in such bombings.  This information can only be used against President Bush.

According to the IAEA and the Iraqi interim government, the material was there until the early days of the US occupation.  The IAEA allowed the expolsives to remain in Iraq under their supervision due to its potential use in industry (mining and such).

350 tons is a hell of a lot of stuff.  This is clearly mismanagement of the invasion by the military command staff, not President Bush.

I don't know why this would be bad for President Bush.

Who would you want in the white house knowing the enemy has 350 tons of high explosives?  Damned sure isn't Kerry.

Solely based on "the buck stops here" theory.  He's in charge.

IIRC most of the IED's were rigged mortar and artillery shells.  While handing your opponent 350 tons of explosive isn't the best idea, don't believe the hype.. It's the same stuff filling shells and bombs from here to hell and back.

That said, it's the hype that's the problem.  It will be as damaging to Fearless Leader as opposition spin doctors can make it.
