They're going to vote for John Kerry and crew.  This is very, very sad.

They are now dead to me.

Except for when I go over to get some of moms cooking and dads beer.

you've got 9 days to convince them otherwise (or at least to vote for Nader)

Try blackmail!

Tell mom you know all about your "uncle" and unless she votes for Bush you will squeal.

Tell dad you know about the babysitters .....................................

My Fiance's sister and mother is also voting for Kerry. The sad part is they were voting for Bush until my Fiance's sister was actiavted. They think that if Kerry wins he will bring all the troops home and she won't have to be there long.

It makes me sad/sick. I'm going down range soon and i wouldn't have it any other way! I just wish some people would own up or shut up.

I got an absentee ballot for my son who turns 18 this week, and he voted Republican.  Honest, I did not twist his arm.  However I told him that Kerry would take the guns away which would normally go to him and his bro...

It is a hard choice, but you know what must be done.  It is the only way out for them now.

And then, they will withhold mom's cooking and dad's beer until you vote with them.

There's little that can be done(given their overly simplistic view of global politics) other than rally other voters to negate their misinformed vote.  Unfortunately, Skerry will probably not "bring back our troops" any faster than President Bush. It doesn't work that way. When the job's done "they'll" come home.

hessian-1out!

My parents always vote for the Communists.  But in Canada, they only have the Communist Party or the New Communist party so it doesn't really matter.

Where is WLF?

Whoa........you are admitting defeat already.

I have been working on my lifelong Dim Mother all year. She has never voted for a Republican.

Last week she finally admitted she cant vote for Kerry and GW was the right and moral choice. She said in no uncertain terms GW has her vote.

You still have time, you just have to hammer them with facts they cant refute or bypass and go to feelings. They obviously raised you as a moral person with charachter, you have to demonstrate to them your ability to use your judgement skills in your decision, and insure them its not a heart felt knee jerk thing like theirs is.

Dont surrender. Death before dishonor. Now get off the internet and get your ass to their house. Or call. Or call on the way to their house!

Get going!

Don't feel too bad.  If they were really dead they would still be voting for Kerry.

Yes. kerry will bring the troops home sooner... TRUE!

BUT!!!

The job WONT be done. Situation will be worse and will just have to send our troops back in 2,4, 10 years... but next time it will be worse. You will have a country that has not finished the job TWICE!

GET THE JOB DONE!!!

The other thing is that both my parents are Dems but they are votin for Bush... Not for the reasons you think. They feel that Bush made a mess and he needs to clean it up and NOT put it in Kerry's lap.

fine by me.
