Anyone know of any good websites or books that detail how to make a full-fledged outdoor still? Something with a parts list and specs would be helpful.

 I just asked my granny one day and she showed me on the stove at home . |

It's legal (providing you follow the law) to distill alcohol for personal use as a Fuel or additive to a fuel. (or at least it used to be) IBTL +1 |

No need for an IBTL.
A home still is legal, you have to have an ATF permit for it. You can use it for making ethanol for farm implement use or for making your own whiskey. It just requires a tax stamp just like Class 3 firearms. You will have a yearly inspection. I know of a few legal stills near my parents farm in middle Tn. |
