What's the best product to use to "take the shine off" a stainless steel barrel ?

I'm not sure I want to cammo a whole rifle, but I'd like to paint a stainless barrel black to match the rest of the rifle. Do I need to do anything other than plug the barrel to keep the paint from messing with the accuracy of the rifle ?

Thanks in advance.

Duracoat or Moly-Resin should work nicely.

Bead blasting before painting it would be an option. It'll have better adhesion and give it a "duller" look.

+1   Use the Black T and bake it.

I just took a rifle barrel to get bead blasted to get rid of a black finish. I'll get it back satin stainless finish. YMMV
