I felt sorry about the Red Socks win.
I hate the Yankees, but I'm SUPPOSED to hate the Yankees.
I hate the Red Socks.  How can I sympathize with the team of Ted Kennedy and John Kerry?
The Red Socks are SUPPOSED to loose.  It's the way it's always been.
the Yankees are SUPPOSED to win.  That way they can be forever hated.  That's the way it has always been.
I want both teams to torment each other in perpetuity, and in Hell.

I really don't like baseball all that much (I'm mostly a football and basketball kinda guy), but I'm glad the best players money can buy choked and Boston won. But with that said, I don't really like Boston either and will be rooting for either the Cards or Astros in the Series.

You know, life is more enjoyable if you can bring yourself to admit the team that beat you was the better team on this ONE occasion, and be happy for other peoples success.

The exception to that rule of life is the average Yankees fan. A mindset of entitlement, and an inability to  lose graciously.

Sorry to dump on you, but being a New Englander, I've seen WAY to many Yankee fans act like spoiled children when their team loses.

It gets old after a while.

Heheheh. Yankees Suck.

What a great series. There I was thinking last year's seven-gamer was as good as it could get. These two ALCS are going to go down as the best in baseball history.

....
9-3 last night at Yankee Stadium

4 out of 7 from an 0-3 deficit

Luck is when you find a $20 bill on the sidewalk.  What happened in this series is a bunch of out of shape misfits from Beantown worked their asses off to essentially bitch slap the most expensive preppy team in Major League Baseball.  The Yankees, without question, are lethal at the plate, some of the best batters in the world.  But they were outmatched by a team with a well-defined mission objective and one very passionate fan base.

The poll done by the NYT before game 7 picked the Sox to win 62% to 38%.  Even New Yorkers realized that money doesn't always ensure victory!

As your lifesize blow up Torre doll is deflating, it's important to note that Boston won the pennant, and regardless of your opinion, means that the Sox beat the Yankees, in the most embarrassing way!

I'll be how I want to be, and refuse to accept you constructive criticism, and will instead continue to wish ill towards all things Boston, I am comforted by the knowledge that they will choke hard in the world series

BTW the Yankees ARE entitled , and Boston is the White trash of Baseball

No, not me... as much as I love the Yankees my dispair ended about two minutes after the game... It's just a game.  I'm happy that Boston has something to cheer for, but I won't be cheering along with you.  I do however wish you all luck, just not too much...

I believe the phrase is "Nobody says it's just a game when they're winning".
