No-No?  What's the "total legal length" for a rifle.  I know the barrel can be no shorter than 16", but what about overall length?  --thanks--vt

GunNStuff sucks

Don't bother trying to order, even if they don't rip you off, they're out of stock.

there is not much difference between no stock and under/side fold stock.

But why would you cut if off when you could just take it off?

Because the OAL of the rifle would then violate Section 921 compliance, therefore being able to land you in Federal "POUND ME IN THE ASS" prision.

Yeah, you don't need to hack it off totally. First you'd need to block the hole with something or get a face full of soot. Second you can easily buy folding stocks from Ace stock, or romanian folders for like 40$ from various 'shotgun news' dealers. Just remember to put some padding (duct tape , leather)  on that metal or ouch!

Unless you cut the stock tang off it should be long enough without the wood.  My handy tape measure puts my SAR1 at 26-1/4 inches from the end of the barrel to the back of the tang...

Buy why not just get a folding stock, a no stocked AK is pretty damned useless...

And destroy any accuracy!

I did have a metal folding stock on one of my old AK's and it would bang your shoulder good.

I think as long as the BBL is over over 16" then it isn't a pistol

Yeah, and send the cutoff stock  to DiFi.

With no stock, at all, my SAR-1 would be under 26" OAL.
