He spoke about Army transformation, focusing on specific points reletive to Army Aviation. Actually, from the Conference Agenda, "General Cody will identify the joint, interdependent vision of the services and relate that to the role of VTOL rotorcraft systems. General Cody will identify the characteristics of the future force and relate that to the impact of and the impact on current and future rotorcraft operations." |

Yeah, I noticed he was born Aviation. That's like pork barrel politics. If he was born Special Operations, you'd see him investing his efforts in SOCOM. Nothing wrong with that at all. We certainly need leadership from every corner of the Army. Thanks for the post. I didn't know anything about General Cody prior. |

Yes, he has the bearing and the demeanor, the way to relate to the troops, which makes a soldier want to follow the man. |

I'm man enough to admit that one of the few times I've shed tears in my adult life was at a military funeral. Another was during Memorial Day, 1992. When the Nurses of the Vietnam War took turns telling their experiences of combat casualties. That is a moving photo. There is another photo that is burned into my mind. When President Clinton presented the CMOHs to Shugart and Gordon's wives after Mogadishu. Quite sad, indeed.
