What started this off with me was I was not happy with the groups I was shooting with my sks. I thought about an ar15 in 7.62x39 but I decided to use of of my ars strickly to shoot russian ammo.
So the rifle gets dirty no big deal I always clean my rifle after I shoot.A little more wear on the extractor so what they are cheap . I shoot open sights with the stuff and I can't complain about my grouping. Now I do admit that my feral hog gun only sees my handloads with 64gr pp but I am temped to try some silver bear 62 gr sp.

Shooting Russian 55 grain, I had some lousy accuracy at 100 yards.  I just use it for reflex fire at 50 yards and closer now.

Don't bother I was just talking with somone last week who tried the stuff out, using soaked phone books to see how they would expand. the vast majority of the time they failed to expand he said. Though something you might think about that somone I know did with the 7.62x39 wolf and it works. He pulls the bullet and replaces it with a 123gr or 125gr softpoint from IIRC remington. Shoots about 2 moa or a little less at 100 from a Norinco sporter AK. Should work with the .223 wolf as well. He said he was going to try it out. I'm just waiting to hear the results.

I heard from someone that the Silver Bear ammunition is actually quite good and should cause no problems in your AR.  I did hear that they can have hard primers though.

Works for me. 2K of 62 grain wolf here through my BM and my Colt.

My Colt Commander framed .45 just pukes on Wolf though.
