I use my M-65 Field Jacket.

The best winter coat that I've ever owned in my entire life is an M-65 Field Jacket with Liner that I picked up at my local Army Surplus. Damn thing keeps me warmer then any coat that I've ever owned and I picked it all up for less then $90 bucks.  Plus, they make other liners that you can buy to make it even warmer, like it needs it,LOL.

The Browning is good. That's what I have and if you wear it and bibs you can stay out all day no matter how cold it is as long as you have good boots.
My bibs are GameHides which are cheaper but bulkier than Browning. If you can go Browning I would, if not consider GameHide brand stuff. It's good.

Anything with Gore-Tex will do you good.  Browning is a great product but... they are pretty expensive.

Gore-Tex does a great job at blocking out wind and rain while allowing moisture to escape... which is a very important part of staying warm.

A 4-in-1 is a great set up for deer hunting.  Especially down south where a 25 degree morning often turns into a 60 degree mid-day.

Columbia Quad Parka

Columbia is virulently anti-gun/anti-hunting and said a big EFFYOO to hunters several years ago.

I call bullshit.

Columbia makes HUNTING JACKETS. As in, you have to use a gun to hunt. They also make the premier upland clothing available.

When I contacted Columbia about the recent blowup that involved one of their executives and Tim Leatherman endorsing Kerry, they quickly replied and made very clear that Tim Boyle is a strong Bush supporter and that the company itself takes no political stances.

I like wool light jackets and I layer them. The wool keeps out the wind and is quiet.
If it rains or a wet snow comes down I put a light parka over it.

I use the USMC version of the DSCP Fleece jacket (Manufactured by Peckham) (its an improved version of the Army's SPEAR jacket. Under a wind & water proof shell.

Mossy Oak produces camo patterns and licenses the patterns to manufactures. I don’t think they actually make their own clothing.  Take a look at Cabelas.  They have a good selection and excellent customer service.

Barbour (an English company) make excellent hunting jackets - I like the Beaufort the best, but the Bedele is also really nice.  They can be kind of pricy though.

I bought a Woolrich (wool, obviously) parka in HSO from sprotman's guide a few years ago...

Love it.
