Is that a Russian truck or a Tatra? The Tatra is a seriously cool vehicle air-cooled, turbo diesel V10, available in 4/6/8WD configurations. Used in the Paris-Dakar as support vehicles, race in their own seperate class.

That has got to hurt when they land. I can imagine a compressed spine at the very least.

They're crude to some degree, but there's also less space. The Russians figured they could reduce the weight of the tank by making it smaller. The armor thickness is the same, but the crew compartment is smaller because Russian tankers are short. |

I climbed around a T-62, BMP, BTR, and MiG 21. Very interesting stuff to see back in the 1980's when we were still fighting the Cold War.
