For real, You know how I always say for that price the thing better cook me breakfast.

Well that shit does!!!,

I want one, and sticky rice can be hard to make w/out  a decent cooker.

You're crazy but it's your right to be that way.

I like to buy high quality things for myself, often better than I really "need".

Hey, the Neuro-Fuzzy rocks!  I have one.  Perfect rice every time.  There are all sorts of dishes you can cook in one.  Make sure you try some brown rice.  It's better tasting and better for you.  If you like it, you can get 20 lb bags at a neighborhood Oriental market for one fourth the cost of the grocery store.

Brace yourself, folks....

My sister is buying her husband an espresso machine for Christmas. $2000.

Yes, friends: TWO THOUAND dollars for a fucking COFFEE machine!

You know how much ammo I could buy for that?

That's pretty sweet.  A rice cooker is the only good / easy way to get decent rice at home.

You posted a link to one of those things in a thread months ago where I was asking about cooking rice ... I've been eyeballing them ever since and planned on getting one as a Christmas gift to myself in december.

How cool will it be to set it up in the morning and have the rice just finish cooking as I walk in the door after work?

That's one BAD ASS rice cooker there bro....what brand of rice do you plan on cooking in it?

I'm partial to the Kohoho Rose (or something like that....anyway, it's sticky rice that the local supermarkets used to carry).

I'm pretty stoked.  I'd been dragging my feet on a new Zojirushi for months now - I didn't even know Panasonic(National) and Sanyo made the things.  There's more than one neuro/fuzzy logic rice cooker on the block now.

I am going to buy 20 lb bags of EVERYTHING!  This thing will be paying for itself within a year (how's that for denial?)!

Holy cow.  I was given a Zojirushi rice cooker AND matching breadmaker by a neighbor who had just finalized his divorce.  I had no idea these things were so expensive!!!  I used to rip on him about the rice cooker as it said "fuzzy logic" on it.   He gave me the stuff as he said his (ex)wife bought it on his credit card and he was still pissed about it.  I gave him a couple boxes of .40 cal in trade....

Wow.  I have the smartest goddamn rice cooker on the BLOCK.

I am nervous everytime I plug it in.  Isn't this the thing that started that global war in the Terminator movies?  Isn't Zojirushi japanese for "cyberdyne systems"?

Best of luck,
Rice rules,
Cheesebeast

No, it shows yer a more evolved form of life.

Survival of the fittest.

People owning $2K coffee machines are more likely to get their azz kicked.

I wouldn't spend that much on a rice cooker, but I can understand dropping some $$$ in the kitchen.  I spent $350 on a stand mixer for my wife for Christmas last year.  The tools cost money, but I'm so lucky my wife loves to cook.    (My waistline doesn't though.)

I spent about $70  on one 15 years ago in Japan and it is still going strong.  Does the rice, soup, veggie steaming, etc.  But no fancy controls.

I'm a white boy too.  Don't knock them till you've tried them  Gonna have to try red beans and rice.   Does sticky rice, long grain, wild rice, pilafs, adding a variety of things to rice, etc.  Potlucks, neighborhood get togethers.

We get the 20 pound bags, still looking for a dispenser at a decent price, keeping it in a big tupperware bin now.

Say...did you feel anything hit you in the back when you left the store?
