Never wanted or needed one before, but with the shortage going on, I just want to screw someone out of something that's in short supply.  Where do you get 'em?

Of course not.  Old folks are dying waiting in line for these things, I want in on the action. They get enough of my FICA taxes, now they're trying to screw me out of my flu juice?  Fuck them.

my doctor says i should get one.  But I won't especially with the shortage.   I've never gotten one, but every year my grandmother gets one and is sick for a week.

My boss and another guy in the office are freaking out about not getting their flu shots.  I reminded my boss that he gets the flu every year anyway.  His response..." yeah, but not as bad as I would get without the shot".

This is just the further pussification of America.  Next thing is we will all start wearing bicycle helmets when we are walking...just to be safe.

Well, I'm just getting one because they're in short supply and I want mine.  I have a really strong immune system and I rarely even get colds.

Tell 'em I said you could have mine.

Im my neck of the woods you can go to the health dept. anytime and get one. Also, on any given day, they'll be out on location giving out doses. One day at the mall, the next at the grocery store, etc.

I don't believe you are serious but if you were, that would be a pretty low thing to do.  To get a shot when you don't need one just because you think you deserve it and maybe causing a death because someone who really needed it couldn't get one is just wrong.  Most of the doctors around here reserve the shots for their patients who really need one.  Now I did catch something on the news tonight about giving flu shots at the state fair .  Sounds like fun to me!

There are over 10,000 strains of flu.  Flu shots protect against only 3 of them.  As to which three is determined by CDC as the statistical probability of it being the predominant strain of the year.  So, even if you don't get a flu shot, it may not make a difference.

Flu shots are stupid.  I've neverhad a flu shot and I haven't had the flu in ten years, but everyone I know who is religious about getting the shot gets sick every winter.  The scariest thing about the flu shot is that it's not tested -- by the time they develop the vaccine for the year's predicted strains, they barely have enough time to produce and distribute, let alone test.
