Is there a difference between absentee voting and early voting?

I thought absentee voting is where you vote by the mail, and I've heard that they arent counted unless the number of absentee ballots would be enough to change the outcome of any given election.

Myself I'm going to vote early, on Friday, its payday so I'll also update the expired registration on my car.

Sorry, I like to walk into the polling place wearing an ARFcom t-shirt.

I cannot vote, so I'll just vote for the last option.

Maybe voting early is a type of absentee voting, ie. voting now because you will be absent later.

I actually voted a few days ago (by mail).
