Kofi Annon is evil, he HATES america, yet we allow him to stay here. Why? Shouldn't the UN be based in a shit country like France? I cant stand the UN. I dont understand why we dont kick them out, they hate us anyway...

Because it gives the CIA and FBI a perfect, centralized location to glean intel from every country on the planet.
It's the only reason I can think of, other than diplomacy, which sucks as a reason... |

I have a BETTER question - no offense - why do we protect the UN building if its their "property"?! Way too many police assets and US Coast Guard being run ragged to defend their goddamn building. I know this personally - pisses me off too.......Protect NYC - that's fine.........but task out US military and LEO to protect and organization that HATES us - thats f#cked up.

I've been saying it for months. It's the ONLY reason that makes any sense! Think about it: If we told them to GTF out, would England suddenly stop being an ally? Would we suddenly go to war with Russia? NO! But DAMN if we wouldn't lose a TREASURE TROVE of data-mining capacity! I can only imagine the technology that is deployed against that building to eavesdrop, record, end exploit, and it's ALL in OUR front yard! |

Another important reason: If we DO kick them out, and they somehow manage to re-form in Paris, say, can you imagine what they would try to do without US there to VETO their asses?
The best defense we have against organized World Socialism is the Veto we hold in the UN. Without that brake, God only knows what they would do! |

Great! let GWB use 'em as toilet paper, stuff 'em back in the envelopes and write Return to Sender on them. Why? Because there are American citizens in there with the rest of them. My question is, why is FRANCE on the security counsel? Isn't that like putting that 11 year old smelly kid next to your table in the lunch room back in junior high? If the UN building had been attacked, we wouldn't be having the problems we are all over the world, whenever I tell people that (like foriegn students) they STFU. |
