for 10 inchers, look at Sony, and fujitsu. Great quality
Thankfully because of centrino technology their performance aint half bad and niether is power consumption. Expect to pay an arm and an asshole. |

They're called the Toshiba Librettos. Toshiba has new versions, but they only sell them in Japan. There are several small importers. Google to find them... ETA: I still have one of those pentium75 models. works well enough to surf ARFCOM occasionally. |

Acer makes some small ones in their "TravelMate" series. No built-in DVD, but you can hook one up through the USB2.0 port.
In their older models, pre-USB2.0, they had a proprietary separate combination CD/floppy. Don't bother with those if they still make them; they are badly designed. ETA: Oh yeah, Sony used to sell a half-sized laptop which was small, light, had a built-in pinhole camera, and was expensive. |

I've got that part working, but no dial up for my ISP. If I could get a network card installed, I could surf at hotels, and if I could could get a wireless card installed, I could surf hot spots. And if frogs had wings... |

These are kinda neat but I dont see a pcmcia or even a cf for wireless.I would also want somewhat of a standard keyboard |
