I may be able to trade my Savage 111 bolt action in .30-06 for an M1 Carbine. I don't really shoot the savage much, and the m1 carbine should be fun to shoot. what do you think?

If it is a USGI M1 I'd go for it. For a Universal or something like that its sort of iffy. Depends on what you like to do with the gun.

if the m1 is USGI, it should only increase in value.  i would give it a good once-over before trading.
