I love that movie.  But I think we're the only ones who liked it.

I started watching that movie one time at 4 in the morning when I had been awake for 30 hours. I remember laughing really hard for the first 15-20 minutes, then falling asleep. Didn't make a whole bunch of sense.

I thought it was pretty good.  I couldn't help but think "stupid damn hippy" when Tom Petty made him give up his gun before entering the town.  Sorry, but I would have told him he could go fuck himself.

One man with any sort of training could have ended all their problems with one well placed shot to center mass of that creepy guy that was leading the army.

Read the book! It's sooo much better. But the movie was pretty good also.

One of the worst movies I ever saw.

I personally really like the movie, but the way it ends pisses me off.  Two armies facing off on the battelfied and it ends like some kindof hippy love in with guns..

I just loved Tom Petty's cameo as the mayor on the trolley ride.

I like Will Patton, but could not buy him as the head bad guy...to me, it was laugh out loud funny.  I can see why a lot of people put it on their "worst ever" list.  The last scene in particular, where Costner and Patton are having their knock down drag out fight, looked oh so gay..they just sorta rolled around for a while.  I've seen schoolgirls get it on with more ferocity.

I did buy it on DVD, though hehehe...it was the first DVD I ever saw for 14.99, when DVDs first came out they were like 25 bucks.

Tom Petty is a kickass signer, but sucks as an actor
Good movie to watch every now and then.

Tom Pettys cameo in that reminds me of Mic fleetwoods in running man. Both are lameo hippy freedom fighters in strange future worlds.

I've definitely found that this is a "love it or hate it" movie - most people hate it, but I always enjoy post-Apocalyptic movies, just to see one person's idea of how things might turn out.  A lot of it is kind of cheesy (unavoidable with Kevin Costner) but I enjoyed the idea of things returning to a "modern" Wild West.  Some beautiful scenery too - plus I always like seeing Olivia Williams (I think that's her name).  And it has lots of ARs too - although I'd like to see someone with no training shoot somebody one-handed while riding horseback...

I liked it, and think it's one of the better book->movie adaptations
book is better but that's not a knock against the movie
