Haven't posted in a while so I figure why the hell not.
Well as you guys can see under my moniker I've moved back to CA. Currently bouncing back and forth between my brothers house in Stockton and a friends house in Rancho Sta Margarita. Job market here is really moving. Been here little over 3wks and have gone thru 4 interviews, and numerous calls from the resume I have posted within various job boards. Down side is CA also got hit with a lot of layoffs so there is a large pool of folks to choose from. But at least I am interviewing. Gas prices suck!!! Glad I have a rice burner. I think I forgot how to talk to women. Me and a buddy went to a bar near his house, and after a while, he punched me in the arm and said, "look dumbass that waitress is flirting with you!!!" So I tried to flirt back only to make an ass of myself. I'm outta practice  Also went to a sports bar and we started talking to a few of the gals there. My buddy basically said I was not my old self. I told him that was due to 3yrs of being shot down like an Iraqi pilot by TX womenz. I am sure I'll get my groove back soon though. Won't take long. At least things are looking up on that front. Just need a jobby job now. But things are looking up in that area too. I never realized how laid back it is here. Not until I left and came back. I've pretty much decided to stay in SoCal with my buddy. He has a thriving pool business and he said I can help him run the biz till I find something. In return I get a place to stay and a lil bit of cash. Not a bad deal. Seeing a lot of Kerry stickers here in SoCal. Really drives me nuts. I am really bummed I am not gonna make Gunstock this year. However, I will be returning to TX beginning of Nov to pick up my stuff from storage to bring back to Cali. Well, thats it for now. Really miss the TX folks. I have been busy just trying to catch up with family and friends here that I still have yet to contact some of the CA Arfcommers. I know Prof Evil probably thinks I am ignoring him. He's sent me a few IM's already. But with me traveling back and forth for interviews, I've been out of touch. Hope to make it to some of the CA shoots here pretty soon once I get things settled. FOR THOSE GOING TO GUNSTOCK, HAVE A WINDEX MARGARITA FOR ME PLEASE!!! |

Glad to hear you're OK LT! We'll miss ya at Gunstock!
Hopefully you won't get bombarded by too much whiney liberalism over there and long for the conservativeness of Texas. BTW, that was a great comment about getting shot down! I gotta remember that one! TX women ARE too damn picky!! Hopefully you'll land a sweet job, and hopefully not being able to own ARs... or basically any fun guns... won't get to you too much! |

Glad to hear you are happier LT. I like WI, but still miss San Jose after almost 3 years. Maybe if the tech biz picks up I'll look out there again.
