ONLY $350,000.00

I'll take two please.

That gun probably costs less than 1,000 dollars to build.  What a rip.

I won't even talk about the AMMO.

To be legal, we need a 37mm version.

That's one nice piece of machinery. I wouldn't mind one for house protection, you know, KABOOM, "uhh sir, where is your burglar that you called us, the police, about?"

Whoa, I just got a refresher class on the Mark 19 last weekend. Has anyone had the pleasure of seeing this thing fire? It is awesome. It shoots straight line, no lobbing like a M203. Its maximum "effective" range is something like 1800 meters. Maximum range--none stated in the manual! Also, it shoots "cold" rounds so you never have to worry about over-heating. MP's mount them on the HUMVEE's.  This has become one of our main weapons. Cool indeed.

But $350,000???.....I'd rather buy a new house and about 20 AR15s.

"Crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women!"

Even if you bought it, every grenade would have to be registered and you have to pay the $200.00 tax on each and every one. What a ripoff.

From the book:
Cyclic rate of fire: 325 - 375
rds per min.
Muzzle velocity: 790 fps.
Stated as being able to fire out to
2200 meters.  The HEDP rounds can penetrate
2 inches of armor plate and have a casualty radius against personnel of 5 meters per round.
.............................................

These were a blast to fire
especially while performing traversing
sequences on old rusty hulk tanks.

Can you imagine finding that at a yard sale :D  I can see it now.....Some sweet ol' lady has it in the back of her garage. She says "since my husband past away I don't know what to do with it. I'm affraid I don't have a humvee to go along with it. All I have is this paperwork that goes along with it. I'll be so glad to get my garage back for my Buick I will even pay the transfer fee" CAN YOU JUST IMAGINE

If she sold it to me for pennies on the dollar, I would be will to take care of her sexual needs for at least a month.

Now the question is, what the hell does it transfer as? A destructive device, as it is 40mm, or a MG, as it is fully automatic?
And, how much are preban links?

I believe it would transfer as a DD and not an MG.  DD is the "unlimited" category.

California Kid: If the DD category is unlimited, can we make DDs which are fully automatic?  For example, could we buy a new USAS-12 (since they were just classified as a DD in May) that happens to fire more than once per pull of the trigger?
