Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Cause of Explosion Unknown?!

O.k, let me get this straight:  Natural gas + Taser = BOOM, right?  What am I missing here?  Two months of investigating and there is still no official cause of the BOOM?

Investigators could not find a definite cause for an explosion that killed a suicidal man and a Joplin police officer. The explosion was Aug. 10 at the home of David Riley after officers Timothy Nielson and Greg Batson responded to a call that Riley was threatening to commit suicide.

Riley died the next day and Nielson died more than a month later after suffering extensive burns. Batson was hospitalized for about two weeks.

Riley turned on the natural gas before officers arrived at his home. The house exploded when Batson fired his Taser stun gun at Riley. Investigators say there isn't enough evidence to determine the cause of the explosion. Police Chief Kevin Lindsey says the investigation is complete.
