I see points in having a safe for your guns...If you have kids or friends over etc to keep them away from them...But what if someone breaks into your house and is armed...Are you going to have time to go enter a code or put a key in the safe and get out a gun before they find you or run off with your things?

sorry for random question...It's late and I'm thinking strange things,lol...

In my house, all guns not well hidden or on your person are pretty much always locked away. Only have as many weapons out as you can aintain control over.

+1 ...  either keep one on you or get a quick-access pistol box

Whenever I'm home, my safe is unlocked.  I have almost all of my handguns loaded and ready for action in holsters on the door.  I have my Mossberg 590A1 and M1A Scout w/Aimpoint loaded and up front.

Also my USP 45 is beside the bed at all times when I'm home.

Anyone entering my house with bad intentions is in for a very exciting last few moments on this rock.

In the safe or on my hip.

All the guns are in the safe, but the one under the pillow.  We have no children at home and the bedroom door has a key lock on it for when children come to visit.

On the floor. I've got mine in a corner slagged to the wall and floor. I've also got it in the corner where you can't readily see it when you open the door. And to answer the original question, you don't put ALL of them in there. Keep at least one handy. Take care.

Keep one in a holster on your hip at all times, lock the others up in the safe(s).  It's not rocket science

Not all the weapons go into the safe.

A big safe for all the extras.

A couple of these.  One near the bed and maybe one on the lower level should have you covered!
