While the news can be used to discredit Kerry, if President Bush and/or Vice President Cheney ran with this, it would be seen as a big conspiracy. I believe it would reflect poorly on them during the election.
Bush, Cheney and Ashcroft need to stay as far away from this as possible to maintain credibility. Personally, I don't see anything happening except some bad publicity for Kerry (which is a good thing). |
