I think the Carbine is labeled a K1. It Uses an AR Type gas system while the K2 Rifle uses an AK type system. Nice picture, I hope the ROCs are living up to their rep & Kicking ass!! |

You are correct... I made a typo. K1 is the carbine and the K2 is the rifle. I'm a little surprised to see the K1 in service as there were a lot of accuracy problems with the K1 series. They were pretty much limited to MP/police duty for a while. Didn't see any K1 with front line units in the beginning. Maybe they got the problem solved. |

Who would have thought that the ROK would have their own desert cammies? I figured we would be supplying them with ours.
