hahaha... and they called it a 'muzzle break'.

I don't think I'd want to shoot a full auto M1.  That's just too much for a shoulder fired weapon.

And it took them 15 more years to get to the M14.....  The T20(?) was ready to produce in 1945.

Cheer up.  I understand a few Garands were registered as FA during the 86 amnesty.  you can modify that to your heart's content.

Good luck finding one.  Never saw one.

for most people, it really hard to handle full auto .308 rifles such as M1, M14/M1A, FAL and G3. You may shoot well at first round, and the second round will go nowhere. That is why the auto device was usualy removed from M14.

I used M60 instead if full auto is a real concern.

I own one, it's called a Berretta BM-59.

.308 not 30-06.

Uses alot of M1 Garand parts.

Lot's of M1's laying around after the war and the Italians came up with it.

IIRC at the end of Band of Brothers (the book) they said several USGI's modded the M1 to fire full auto.

Did NOT say how they did it.

You want a full auto garand? it's called the m-14 or the B.A.R. take your pick! personally I think the Sturmgever 44 is x10 better!

My grandpa told about how guys would stone down the trigger group surfaces, basically getting their Garands to go full-auto that way.

So yah, it can be done.

We are talking battle rifles here - M14, BM-59, FAL, G3, ...

The Strum/44 is an assult rifle akin to the M16, FNC, AK-47, ...
