Something about a nickle or bright stainless 1911 with ivory or pearl grips as a carry piece seem very nice to me.
I dont drive a lowered impala, my car lacks gold rims, I dont drink 40's in the hood with my dawgs. SO my question is can whitey get away with a pimp 1911? or will I be the laughing stock of the gun community?? kinda like the one in carlitos way. |
well when I worked at the range I never saw one white person with a nickle plated 1911 with pearl grips. |
Okay.
Makes sense. I didn't think so but I don't like stereotypes. CRC |

I'm not a bigot... but there is ALWAYS truth in Stereotypes |

HA HA HA, I can relate I use to work at a range in the city and wannabe gangsters use to come in, I tell you what if they spent half as much on buying a quality pistol rather than plating a POS they might be able to hurt someone. Who the fuck would want a gold jennings?? Me and my buddy use to bet on what the hommies would be bringing in to shoot. A raven was usually a winner. Losts of .380's and .25's a few .38's and once in a while a ruger 9mm |

They gave away a nice whorehouse gun at Knob Creek this weekend. It was a nickle plated Springfield with mother of toilet seat grips.
Pimp juice, bitches. |
why's it called a whore house gun? |
Ppl. can say what they want, but the Bright Stainless finish from the Colt custom shop is awesome. It might not be very practical, but who cares? You only live once...

Every now and then I get the hankering for a shiny pistol with gold accents and lots of engraving.
Then the feeling passes and I go back to my blued and olive drab guns. |
[austinpowers]that's not mine baby[/austinpowers] Wish it was though... |
Sheeeeesh, its called a CHURCH GUN!
Go for it. BTW, shame thats S&W CH |
Vincent Vega had a Stainless 1911 with pearl grips. And he's a badass.
<------
Didn't really like the Alumigrips so it now has a nice set of wood grips. |

I read this reply... then read it again... and nearly made a mess of myself. Two people knocked on my door wondering what was so damn funny. You, sir, get the funniest post of the month award as far as I am concerned. - BG |

I bought a Spring field Ultra Compact stainless with real ivory grips for 400 ,sold it to my son-in -law to go with his colt Detective 38 snub detective with ivory grips!!
Man that UC was sure a tack driver(maybe because no bushing) whatever I will be trying to buy it back!!!! Yes Stainless and Colt Oficer Ivory grips are cool!!! Bob |
YES! |
sweet. seriously. i like shiny things. |
Dont feel bad, I want to do the same thing.
I think what I will do is get a Systema 1911 with my C&R, have it sent out for chrome and get some fake pearl grips. I will call it my "Pulp Fiction Special" |
That is very bad ass. |
I wanted a pimp gun once................then I turned twelve and decided I wanted everthing to look "tacticle black" instead.
Now I just want the guns to feed, fire and extract EVERY time. And for me to be able to hit the target the majority of the time. Arc |

Check out the Texas Ranger Museum in Waco sometime. There are loads of "Barbeque Guns" there, and I'm pretty sure that most of those guys weren't pimps.
I was going to mention that. Both SA and Colt show their .38 Super 1911s in a mirror nickel/stainless finish with faux pearl grips. What up with THAT? I'd love one in .38 Super, but not pimped like that. I want plain stainless (milspec) and some wood grips. |
Pimped out 38 suppers... just look into the history of the 38 supper and you shal see. The supper was favored in the rough border towns south of the border. A lot of them got pimped up. Anyone remember the Mexican drug lord that had the 1911 with the diamond grips...
If you don't want to go plated, you could take a regular blued 1911, get some scroll work and french borders engraved, then do a deep carbonna blue and ivory grips. |
they only make it in .38 super right? Too bad its not 45 or else I would be all up over that biotch |
Also because the 38 is the largest caliber you can own in Mexico. I could sell a 38 super every during for two weeks straight right after the Pear/apple harvest here in town! And they really like the shiny colts! CH |

Please edit the topic title.
And Vincent vega was no bad ass. He used to be Vinnie Barbarino. mike |

This is disgusting.
I've seen some pretty fucked up shit in my day; I mean really nasty stuff. People do STUPID things to guns. ANYONE who would do something like that is really not right in the head. I looked at these pictures, and I just want to PUKE. I mean come on; who in their right mind would put the extractor on the OUTSIDE of a 1911???? |
+1, except tactical not nessessarily black. Camo'd guns look cool too. |

"Only a pimp in a New Orleans whorehouse or a tin-horn gambler would carry a pearl-handled pistol. Theyre IVORY-GOD-FUCKING-DAMN-HANDLED." -Gen. George S. Patton, when asked about his trademark revolver. |
