Ich---- stay the hell away from those wide ass tires!!!!!
Especially from colorado!!!!! Get skinny ones!!! wide ones suck ass in snow and ice. Tell us what they are going on, and i can give you a good size recommendation. |

not really. Standard, no. The "cool thing to do", yes. Being from Colorado, one drives in very much snow and ice. Wide tires are crap for snow and ice. I know, i have personal experiance. |

What do you mean its a car? Like literally its a car, (cause I knew that) or "its a car" as in "its just transportation from A to B That's really sweet... in my opinion, those impalas and the caprices (up until 96) with the 5.7L LT1 engine are the best passengar cars GM ever made, well, at least recently. The cops loved the 96 caprices, these new wimpalas and Crown Vics suck. In recent years, GM has been making some bonehead decisions and have come out with some really shitty cars I'd really like to pick up an impala SS or a 96 caprice cop car someday as another toy

You could also just get a cheap set of snow tires for it if you still wanted performance, cool tires for summer.

Well, Im kind of a mud goon, and Im after tires for my truck to help me not get stuck so damn bad.
I was pondering either 285/75's or the 33/13.5 approach. Im in a lot more mud than snow most of hte times, when it does snow it melts fairly quickly. Is the 11.5 tire THAT much better ? I have 265/75's mud tires now... Im fairly hesitant about a lift, I could use it as much as I could stand a stock ride... But lifted shit is soooo much cooler

Yea my Daily driver is a 95 Impala SS, setup with ramair, flowmasters, sunroof and a few other small things.
Of course I have owned it since early 2002 and it has been wrecked in some form or another for all but 2 months since I owned it. I finally quit fixing it though, Im looking to get hit now. |

285/75 X16 are 33" tall. Go to the tirerack.com and that site has more than you'll EVER want to know about tires.

what truck and what tire are you looking at? also what rims do you have- you said 10" wide right?

great prices too. Personally, i would go with a thinner tire. BTW, don't you mean 12.5's, instead of 13.5's? just wonderin, cause you see 12.5's all the time. |

285/75 = 32.8, to be exact. sometimes 32.9 though. but those are only accurate if those are mounted on a 16 inch rim. |

I knew the first two were right beacause I went to 16" wheels this year with the 315's for highway driving long distance after running 38x15.50x16.5 for a few years. Got too expensive when I decided to go to college that is about a 70 mile trip everyday. Now I run 16's summer, and 16.5's winter.

I've got 31x10.5 R15's mounted on 15x8 inch rims, and they work just fine. My spare is actually on a 15x7. No unusual wear noted yet.

I have 315/75/16 on a 16x10 inch wheel. Thats a little bigger than your averabe 35/12.5.
