The M-16 is OK but it looks like the military wants something that can really take a beating and not
malfunction.

Galil is simple very reliable, rework some of the ergonomics and you are good to go.

the galil was rather heavy and at this point there arent many that carry it in israel, the galilon(small galil) is issued to tankers only but there are a huge amount of them in armories now.
