Went to Wally World after spending the day at the lake yesterday.  It was after dark, and the typical Creatures of the Night were out in force...


As I'm walking through sporting goods trying to replace a fishing lure I lost earlier, I see a crowd of 18-ish young people coming toward me.  The boys were all long haired, sporting scruffy goatees, the girls were wearing those hip hugging low-low riders.  (I SWEAR I saw pubic hair!)  They were all decked out for a night of carousing, complete with Dr Seuss hats....and all proudly wearing homemade VOTE GWB 2004 t shirts!

I commented to one of them, 'Nice shirt'.  The young man asked me if I intended to vote (oh HELL YES!), and started telling me how sKerry is going to ruin our country.  I told him he was preaching to the choir, and that since I'm active duty military, there is no way I'd ever cast my vote for a traitor like sKerry.  The kid smiles, shakes my hand and invites me to the church festival they're heading to...   There's hope for today's youth after all!
