Avoid ASA like the plague.
Their rifles are crap and their owner is an asshole. Lots of us here have been screwed by them. And watch people run for the hills when you try to sell your ASA marked rifle. You'll be lucky to get half of what you paid for it. Enjoy your made in China parts kit. |

Their uppers and lowers were supplied by LMT up until 2001 when LMT sued them for nonpayment and won $21,000.
Their barrels came from Wilson and the ASA employees usually managed to screw up the chamber and the gas port. Their small parts and furniture are made in China. |

ASA is junk. I think they were here for a little while, but then people figured it out. Forums here in the Indusry Section are paid for, they buy space. The Avilas won't rent to low class operations, and we won't treat them in a civil manner either, so it doesnt make sense for them to come here.
Colt doesnt pay for their section or have a Rep. here. They get the forum because AR15 is a trademark. |

The stripped upper and lower receivers are the only decent parts on the rifle. Unfortunately, the lower is marked ASA which doesn't make it worth the aluminum it is made out of to anyone who knows ARs. |

I had an ASA for a while..... VERY problematic. I sold it, bought a Bushmaster, and haven't looked back.
