Anybody got any suggestions on stereo headphones?  Can't always jam like I like to, so need to get some headphones.  Any suggestions?

thanks

Try some isolation headphones. They are great with the bass and usually aren't very expensive compared with some of the electronic noise reduction models.

Take my word for it, get either Grado' SR60's or Sennheiser HD 497's. I have the 497's and LOVE them. Paid 80 bucks out the door at CompUSA. Worth EVERY penny. You can also read reviews and shop here

If your a true high roller your get the Sennheiser Orpheus though. They only run around $13,000. Yes, for headphones. They do sell them at headphone.com as well if your interested.

Day-yam, for 13 Grand, it's pretty obvious which "orpheus" they'll be using for screwing ya...

AKG K-55's, I listen to all sorts of music and they sound very good for their price, my wife works for AKG here in Nashville...so she can hook you up. They retail around the hundred dollar mark but she said she can get them for under $50.

You might be able to pick up a good used pair of Sennheiser HD580s for not much more than 50 bucks with a little luck, and they're fabulous.     HD600s are the upgrade of the 580s, and 650s are the upgrade of the 600s,  and 650s cost 450 bucks at retail.   But even the 580s are SUPERB.

Try them and you'll never want to hear anything less.

I use HD600s.

The HD600s and HD580s are great headphones, they sound great and are very comfy, but they require a lot of power. For best performance its best to use them with a headphone amp.

What type of environment will you be using them in? If its noisy, its best to look for a set of closed headphones to dampen the outside sounds. Open Headphones are nice for longer duration listening because of better ventilation and you can hear when the phone rings or the wife calls.

Make sure you get the 60 ohm version, not the 600 ohm.

The semi-open design gives very "spacious" sound reproduction. The choice for vocalists in many recording studios, including mine.

Koss Pro Junior.  These headphones sound better than senheisers costing many times more.  Excellent bass and dynamic range.  I had a pair and wore them out.  I bought Senheisers, and then took them back and ordered another set of pro-juniors.  I am glad to see they still make them, as I need to get another set soon.  Hi recommendations for them!

HAHAHA $13,000....hahaha

I can't even hear well enough to tell the difference between a $9.99 pair and a $13,000 pair.

May this be a lesson...Wear you hearing protection so you can benefit from using $13,000 Phones.

The Grados are great.

I got a pair of 120s, a little higher end model, but their entry level stuff is great too.

AKG and senn. also good though.

For around $60 I'd get Grado SR60s.

Wanna buy mine? $50 shipped.
