Not exactly what you thought?

This was on 152 near I5 in California.  If you drive the five...do more than Seventy Five to stay Alive.  Or a big rig WILL pass you.

On one of my previous passes on this particular stretch I was pulled over for "exceeding the maximum speed limit of California" since he didn't want to write me up for reckless. Plus it was in a rental, on a sunny day, with NO traffic (he was coming from the other way...our closing speed was probably over 200mph.).  In a brand spankin' new 2001 Dodge Neon auto.  It was making a funny ticking noise when I returned it.  Ah the indiscretions of youth or something.

Happened to me, I made it to the gas station with about 1 gallon left.  Between Augusta and Atlanta you get a nice stretch of nothing.

They consider 7k the official redline.  I haven't gotten it past about 6k, though...the stock engine isn't that great after 5k anyways.  Computer stops it from hitting redline at some point, or 108mph.

A few weekends ago I was driving from Vegas to LA. On the long downhill into Baker I had to move over to the slow lane with all the other slowpokes to get out of the way of those coming up behind me.

Us slowpokes were doing 105, and were being passed.

The speed limiters are more to make sure you don't exceed the speed rating of the tires.  Most kick in at 110mph.  My 2003 Maxima was 130mph (Z rated tires!).  Had it to an indicated 125mph once on the 401 on a trip to Toronto.

80?

Slowpoke..... (insert Ludicrous, Move Bitch, git out my way)

I went to court again yesterday, speed, downtown, 40 in a 30...Asshole. Lawyer as always. Not Guilty, as always (spotless record).

I dont think speed has any relationship with age, some people are just more motivated than others.

I am one of the motivated.

The one thing I hate to see most while driving is: a childs' car seat on the side of the road when I can't tell if it is empty or full.

speeding in a CMV in Kalifornistan is damn near punishable by death but then if you do the speed limit your impeeding the flow of traffic. Kalifornistan hates trucks and truckers as much as guns

I was motivated.

My insurance agent drew up a chart to demotivate me, after #3.

the thing that drive me nuts on the highway is one shoe in the breakdown lane.
