All of my friends are voting for Kerry, I have two cousins voting for Kerry, the future in-laws are all voting for Kerry, clients are voting for Kerry.  Boss is voting Bush, as am I, the GF and my parents.  I think the problem is that after Clinton the nation had to grow up and act like an adult once again and the sheeple don't like it.

No

The only people who say that Bush has been unpopular are the media, and as they have been caught repeatedly by the Internet fabricating stories, their reporting MUST be discounted.

No, earlier this week/last week he went to including several polls from each state to smooth out the numbers and give a more reasonable look at how the race was shaking out.  There was such an outcry from the left that the map got too red that he has been selectively using polls to make the map more blue... as evidenced by his new "final projection."

So ummmmmm why don't you go back to DUh specop_0000000000000

You all wanna sit back and think this is gonna get handed to Bush on a silver platter.

Um...hate to interject a little obvious logic here, but the NUMBER of people who vote for sKerry doesn't exactly matter per se. Must we point out that Gore had more popular vote than Bush yet still lost the election?

Besides, if I went just based on my own limited area of "polling" then I'd probably think Kerry will win too. Probably 60-70% of the people I know will vote for that POS too, but I don't know 6 or 7 hundred thousand people so what does that say?

Absolutely nothing.

Jeezum crow, folks.   Enough with the "people I know bullshit."

Repeat after me:

THE PLURAL OF ANECDOTE IS NOT DATA!

Just for  a second there, go back and look at what the pollsters were saying about the 1/2 time elections.

Most of them called a Democratic surge and the Dem's keeping control of the Senate.  It didn't happen.

Most of them said the GOP would be routed.

It didn't happen.

The media is concerting an effort to make it look like Bush is losing steam.   Maybe he even is.  But the purpose of all the doom and gloom is singular:   To make US stay home on November 2.   Fuck that.  Fuck them.   You go out and vote, just like you need to no matter what you hear.   If the Republican masses in the Fla panhandle hadn't been such pussies and just turned around and "went home" after the networks mistakenly called Florida, GWB would have kicked Al Gore's ass without needing to go through several levels of recounts.

I love how all the states Bush was ahead in by 3-10% last week (in polls done by respected polling groups like Rasmussen) are now showing Kerry ahead (but these polls were done by . . . . Survey USA?) - never heard of them.

Trust the polling from GOOD groups like Rasmussen, Gallup, etc.  Others are suspect.

Plus the guy running this site is a liberal democrat - what does that tell you?

Bush will win - electoral vote count will be around 280-295.  Not huge, but still comfortable.

Nothing to see here - move along.

actually everyone keeps saying that this election will not be decided on election day. both sides already hae more lawyers than you can shake a subpoena at getting ready for the battle that will happen after.

the grey area is all the new voters who are being signed up, are they real? will they come out on election day? who will they vote for? then you have absentee ballots and provisional ballots that will no doubt be the subject  of court challenges.

pollsters ask questions designed to elicit a speific response and even they will admit that they dont know what they likely voter picture will be this year.

while most of us considered clinton a disgrace to the presidency, we nevertheless recognized that he was the president of all of us in spite of his shortcomings. today you have a large part of the country that doesnt really believe gw is actually the president and it was somehow handed to him by a powerful elite. should this election remain as close as it appears and the courts are involved again it will further the deepening divide where 50% feels disenfranchised. we are approaching a very dangerous time in the us because of this.

my guess which is as good as any pollster is that it will be close and the supreme court will get involved i this one too with all the lawyers and interest groups being marshalled.....and a large part of americans will feel cheated one way or the other.

I was putting a good deal of faith into the Electoral-Vote map until the guy admitted, ADMITTED, mind you, that he had purposefully changed the way the map was displaying because of heat he took from the Left, ESPECIALLY when he had been trying to make the map more accurate based upon ACTUAL DATA.

When a person skews something because some pricks call him and bitch, the essence of his position on that something can no longer be trusted implicitly. As such, his map cannot be relied upon to display what is really going on.

As for the polls, it is no wonder that W's lead tightened after his abysmal performance last week. What is equally amazing (and heartening) is that, even after such a comparitavely "stellar" performance and the subsequent and almost continuous media orgasm, the BEST Kerry has been able to do is close up with W. The ONE poll that showed him ahead has been shown to have been complete crap.

After the paddling that Cheney gave pretty-boy the other night, and after the speaches that W is giving now, I suspect that we will see a slight rise of W in the polls. If he manages to get his sh!t together for this Friday, it will be even better.

Notice that all the hubub about the first debate was about how POORLY W did, not how GOOD sKerry did. Notice, also, that during the VP debate, it was sKerry's record that was put on trial, NOT W'S. As such, this race is truly W's to lose.

I'm not advocating a defensive posture to hold off sKerry until November. Far from it, but you must acknowledge that the ONLY bump sKerry has gotten in the polls has come from BUSH screwing up, not sKerry doing anything to mobilize support for HIM..

If Bush does well in these debates, and barring any surprises this month from the asshats on the Left, the election will be OVER, and W will be in the White House again.

Dear Lord, hear my prayer!
