OK, its my 10th wedding anniversary in three weeks. My wife doesn't really care about or wear jewelry that much, but she does like camping and the outdoors. She's kind of ambivilent about guns though too, but I know she'd like a P239 once she shot it.

Should I buy her some expensive jewelry and hope she likes it or a Sig P239 and hope she likes it?

All women like jewelry at one time or another. Does she have her own pistol already?

Nope, but she's expressed a slight interest.

I'm leaning towards the safer route myself brother.

Diamond's

It's a no brainer, UNLESS........

she just absolutely does not care for jewlrey and has an fascination with firearms.

I have never met a woman who would be more excited to get a gun than a diamond.

A weapon is a tool, it's like buying her a new stove for her birthday present.

Diamonds say I love you and love you so much I'm willing to spend (alot) of money on a luxury item to express that love.

Many years ago, when I was first got married, I bought her a Colt Diamondback 38spl revolver with a 6" BBL. We took a shooting class together with that gun; when our first child came along, the Diamondback was all but forgotten. So, if you're going to get her a gun, I would get something get something that you like also.  Are you guys going to renew your vows? The jewerly would be nice for occassions like weddings etc.

JEWELRY.

Even though she says that she doesn't wear it that much, a diamond necklace speaks a thousand more words than a Sig.  She'll be floored.

Two words... Cubic Zirconia.

Jewelry is useless anyway, of course, if you want to keep having sex then the necklace might be a good idea.

For our 10th, I bought my wife a Tiffany gold necklace and sent it to her office in a bouquet of lavendar and pink roses that were our bridal colors.

Diamond, or both I'd say.. Nothing says I love you like a ridiculously expensive, completely functionally useless bauble.  Worked for me  If you do go the pistol route, take her somewhere with rentals and let her try a few out.  She might come way out of left field and tell you the 229 just isn't her cup-o-tea.  The diamond sounds more surefire though.

ETA: 239.. Duh.

Get her rubies or sapphires or something better than diamonds.  Maybe a birthstone.  Diamonds are not all they are marketed to be.
