What are some good Rammstein songs?  So far the only one I really like is like is "Sonne" but ive only listened to about 3 of their songs.  Any suggestions?

My personal favorites are Adios, from Mutter and Bück Dich, from Sehnsucht. However, both Sehnsucht and Mutter are excellent albums (Herzeleid, too, but not quite so much as the others), and all their songs are good.

In other words, buy the albums or find a friend willing to burn them for you. I did the "former."

Of course, I like REM and They Might Be Giants, too, so take my musical advice with a grain of salt or five.

Not sure on songs, but if you can get "Live at the max in amsterdam" that is one of my fav cds. It has songs from the 1st and 2nd album. Its a Boot leg but it sounds better done then the live aus berlin

The best Rammstein song is "Wollt Ihr Das Bett In Flammen Sehen" from the Herzelied album. I like that album best because it is heavier and less "techno" than Sehnsucht or Mutter. They're all great, though. I hear they have a new album out but I don't think it has hit the states yet. Don't worry about the lyrics;they're just singing about fire, death, and other cool shit...

On the Sehnsucht CD they do a couple song in english as well as german (Du Hast being one of them) Trust me, it's much better in german.

If you want some good goth metal go to www.cradleoffilth.com.  Click on "See Evil" and then "video's" then listen to Nymphedamine first, then check out the other video's.

Their new album, Reise, Reise, is amazing.  Unfortunately not released in North America until November 16, but you can find it if you know where to look.  If you can find it, I recommend all 11 songs in this order:

1. Reise, Reise
2. Moskau
3. Amour
4. Ohne Dich
5. Dalai Lama
6. Mein Teil
7. Keine Lust
8. Los
9. Stein Um Stein
10. Amerika
11. Morgenstern

ALL of the songs on Reise, Reise are great, I just order them that way I guess.  The album really sounds different than the rest, but sounds most similar to Mutter, many of the songs have sort of a Sonne feel to them, (Reise, Reise especially) so you may like them.

As far as the other albums are concerned, I also like most all the songs, but I have to agree with Spiel Mit Mir (play with me), and Laichzeit.

Really?  Which CD was it?  I just barely heard about them a few days ago, and so far I'v seen a few songs I  like and a few I don't.  Some of the stuff doesn't do much for me, but some of the other stuff I like quite a bit.

I haven't heard any Rammstein tunes that I *didn't* like.

Somewhere on the web, there is a video clip called "guylife.asf" which has Sonne as background to a really bitterly funny little cartoon:

Disclaimer: I can't vouch for any of these links;  someone emailed a copy to me a couple of years ago.

BTW, if you like Rammstein, try listening to Apocalyptica some time. I recommend their "Inquisition Symphony" CD for a good introduction.

It's not Rammstein, but I ran across a new german band on the internet not long ago that I liked. Pretty much standard hard rock, but female vocals sort of something between heart and saraya (if anyone remembers them). Anyway, they're called Eigensinn:

http://www.eigensinn.net/

Here are some direct links to songs (might help if you don't speak german). Try to ignore the irritating "anti-theft" "tones" that are occationally in the middle of the songs. There are maybe 2 or 3 per song. It's worth listening through (I thought so anyway).

http://www.eigensinn.net/downloads/eigensinn_traenen_aus_blut_demo.mp3

http://www.eigensinn.net/downloads/eigensinn_warum_live.mp3

Anyhow... ya might like 'em, ya might not. It's always fun to hear different stuff though...
