I usually stay up almost all night on election night watching returns.  I just can't help it.  Sure, Nov 2000 was a doozy, especially with Tim's drunken rantings on the old board when it looked like Gore would win, but I even stay up for the state elections just to see what is happening on the propositions.

You can sure bet this Nov. 2 is going to be a long night.

Anyone else?

This is the first election I'm legally of age to participate in.  You bet your ass I'm going to be up all night.  I'm going to either be drinking in celebration or drinking in depression.

Hell yes.  Unfortunately I work 2nd shift so I'll be taping everything.  I remember election 2000.  I thought it was all over when they gave Florida to Gore.

Yea, it's going to be like watching a football game that you bet your kids future on.  Your team has gotta win.

How can you sleep through that.

No I work.

How the hell could I stay up all night if I have to get up at 7am?

I'll be working but I may take that night off.

Last time I was at work which was about 50/50 Bush/Gore

Lots of fighting about who was better.

I'll be up all night as well.  Give mee a carton of Marlboro and a case of Budweiser.  If bush goes down, so does my TV.  If Bush wins, wednesday night will be a repeat of the previous night.  Just a lot more relaxed.

Hell yes!  I stayed up for the last one getting schmicked and still had to wait way to friggin long for the REAL results, but this year is so damn important now that i have to worry about not only my future, but the future of my 1 year old!  GO BUSH!  Every one on this board needs to vote also, as a vote for Kerry is a vote for socialism and anti AR laws.

2000: I was up all night, and until about noon the next day - took off work.

2004:  In a police dispatch center, surrounded by 7 liberals and one conservative, she and I will be the only voices rejoicing.

Hardcore political junkie here.  Stayed up most of the nite in 2000, will do the same this year.  If Kerry pulls this out I'm calling in sick on Wednesday and burning up the credit card debt buying guns, mags, ammo and a shovel.

2000 wqs gut-wrenching and I really don't wish for the same this time around. If Kerry is meant to win, I'd rather it be by a good margin and let's get it over with.
But I really don't think Kerry can win anyway - not even that close.
Here's to a happy election night

Oh yeah.

I remember staying up all night during the 1968 presidential election with my mother. Very exciting back then. Votes took a while to count in the old days.

Been doing it ever since. I will definitely be watching.

Enough of a junkie that I called in and signed up to be a poll worker on Election day.
Today I got my confirmation call, and precinct and training assignments, and it wasn't until after I hung up that I realized - 'crap, how am I gonna WATCH it all onTV / blog about it??!

Democracy Ackbar.

If it is a shoe in by 2200hrs, I will be spending lots of time getting my Du troll accounts banned. IF it goes well I will make it a point to give those guys the same kind of shit that they will give us if Kerry takes it.

i've got 2 accounts ready to go over there too!

DANG!

I gotta get me some more ID's over there!

The last time around I taped it. 8 hours of election broadcast.   I had to work that night.

This time around I’ll be off and watching until the DUmmies scream “It was fixed!”
