1. Name the date the Invasion was supposed to start on.
2. Name the codeword for the Operation.
3. Name the beaches
4. Name which country was responsible for each beach

Some tougher ones...
5. What is a Mulberry
6. 82nd Airborne. Of the 11,770 men, how many were injured or killed?

2. Overlord
3. Juno, Sword, Gold for the Brits and Canucks
  (Bloody)Omaha and Utah for the Americans

5. A floating dock or artificial harbour.
6.EDITED:272 lost on the first jump(5245 killed after 33 days of fighting, they were relieved on July 8th), wounded or missing in total.

Ya, pretty easy questions.    I had a few minutes to kill so I researched the Mulberry question. [:D]

garandman is correct on the 1st question.

My #'s according to one web site is 5,436 killed or wounded.

More facts:
Allied:
150,000 Troops (11 Divisions)
1,500 Tanks (2 Divisions)
5,300 ships and landing craft
12,000 airplanes
20,000 airborne troops

Germans in the battle zone:
80,000 Troops
1 Panzer tank division

Germans Defending France:
60 Infantry Divisions
10 Tank Divisions

Casualties:
2,500 Allied soldiers killed.
D-Day planners had forcast 10,000 dead.

I have always thought that May 1st was the ORIGINAL date, but was delayed because a lack for landing crafts, many were brought from the Pacific theater. Delayed again on the 5th cause of the  weather.
