I guess we shouldn't expect an announced, "official" endorsement, but the NRA has made its voice heard in the Presidential election.  Vote so that Kerry will not be President!

The NRA shipped 1,000 handouts to each of its Election Volunteer Coordinators.  It has a color photo of a poodle wearing a blue sweater embroidered with the name "Kerry."  The title line is, "That Dog Don't Hunt."  Nowhere is there a mention of President Bush.  Instead, the NRA reminds gun owners that John Kerry has an "F" rating and gives reasons why.  On the reverse side of the handout is a picture of a hunter with his gun having been deleted!  The title line is, "If The American Firearms Industry Is Sued into Bankruptcy, What Will Happen to Hunting in America?"  The subtitle reads, "Kerry and Edwards Think Gun Makers and Dealers Should Pay for the Acts of Criminals...Even if It Means the End of America's Firearms Industry."

You can purchase an NRA T-Shirt online with the Kerry poodle on the back (This dog don't hunt," and NRA on the front. See, That dog don't hunt.  I ordered two.  The treat it as a contribution, rather than a sale, so maybe it's deductible, too?

Before this drops off the front pages, I thought it important to add soemthing.

In my opinion, the NRA is not officially endorsing the President out of concern that their TV ad campaign against Kerry could affect their 537 status.
