it would be a HUGE coup to knock off the minority leader. that coupled with a Bush win would be a clear mandate for the GOP

I hope Coburn can pull it out in Oklahoma, this is a guy who would tell his own party to pound sand before he voted anti-gun.

Carson has voted pro-gun on the past; but I don't have the same confidence he will hold his ground when the Dem party tells him they want a new AWB ban and he is a junior Senator facing down Kennedy, Feinstein and Schumer.

60 sure would be nice.  But I'll settle for enough of a majority that one or two becoming "independents" won't kill the majority.  Jeffords still pisses me off, and I'm not even from up there.

I live in michigan and there are alot of democrats for some fucking reason?  Man I wish we could get rid of Levin.  He always supports gun legislation.  He's right there with Hillary, Schumer, Finestein, and Kennedy.  oh less we forget Kerry.  Bunch of assholes.  They should try them for treason because they are sworn to uphold the constitution right?  They all just piss me off

That will be cancelled out by losing the IL seat Sen. Peter Fitzgerald (R) held though... no loss for us since he was anti-gun anyway.

forgot about the GA seat, but it looks like we will lose the IL, OK and maybe the AK seat....though the LA dem held seat is up in the air.

Well, 6 points with a 4 point margin of error is a pretty thin lead. We could well win Alaska and Oklahoma yet; but it will be close. The news was suggesting today that the outcome of the Oklahoma Senate race could determine whether the Republicans hold the Senate.

For that matter, a lot of these races will be close, even the ones where we lead. Turnout will definitely decide who wins. I definitely plan on dragging some of my less motivated friends to the polls on election day.

What's the latest poll you have for the WI (Feingold vs Michaels) race?

Oh, Zell votes with the GOP on the critical issue (Judicial nominations), so that's less of a gain than the others, although we may need that extra (R) to keep the Senate if things go bad...
