Quoted: That's really all NASCAR racing is, a chess checkers game at 190 mph.
sweating, while turning a steering wheel, is not a sport. impacting a wall because you failed at turning the steering wheel correctly does not make the sweating into a sport.

Not a personal flame, CB, but it's obvious alot of people on here have never had the opportunity to drive such a car, or they'd realize how wrong they are. I have worked around alot of NASCAR drivers, at varying levels of the sport up to and including Nextel Cup, and until you've wrestled that car in a pack of 40 others at 190+ three inches or less apart for 4+ hours with no AC with the temp at 180 plus inside that car, and DON'T cause a 20 car wreck, then you should really just hush, 'cause you DON'T know what the fuck you're talking about.
On top of that, most NASCAR guys are family guys, and you rarely hear of one selling crack or setting up his pregant wife for murder. Counts for alot in my book.
Any form of motorspors, not just NASCAR, is just as much a sport as golf, and the strategy is as much a chess match as any other sport. Road racing requires even more concentration and athleticism, and a good head on your shoulders. A top fuel dragster is a handful of acceleration at 300+ in a quarter mile., that requires a shitload of concentration and athleticism to control.
If you don't like it, fine. It's a free country, but to say it requires no athleticism or brains is just ignorant.
