Link worked for me. Looks like an eruption, from what I could see. Smoke [ash?] pouring out, looks like quite a bit.
Any other info? |

Cam is still out. Is that Bush's fault too? War on Terror hah! Let's declare war on volcano's. It's for the children you know.  It's back up. Shoot, you're five miles away! I thought it would be like a National Geographic documentray; close up and personal.

Just meltwater. MSH is a composite volcano, not a shield volcano, thus it's not common to have a lava flow. The magma is simply too viscous. |

There was probably more CO2 released into the atmosphere in this small eruption than in all of the vehicle emissions in the US for the past 20 years.
Why aren't the Pacific Northwest environmentalists out there picketing?

I flew over that mountain about a year after the last big eruption. It was unbelievable how far the destruction was.

If you want a scary volcano scenario go read about the super volcano under Yellowstone. When that erupts the whole country will be fucked.
