 The vast majority of Americans operate on the "I saw it on TV so it *must* be true" mentality. The dems and the media know this and also know that most of their viewers never bother to check one so-called "fact" beyond what they have been spoonfed.

I realize it is an obvious political ploy meant to do two things;
1) Make people think the current admin is behind it so they will vote for Kerry 2) Turn people against the war on terrorism by making them think their little boys are going to be drafted and vote for Kerry These two and all involved should be flogged. |

This is proof that sound bytes are more important than knowlege, the Dems realized all they had to do was out together a shitty bill or two calling for a draft, get them shit canned in comitee, and until the end of time they can claim the Republicans are trying to start a draft, because they realize they have the world conditioned to believe that anything to do with getting more soldiers is a republican goal, all they have to do is claim that thier is a bill to start a draft, and they know they can count on CNN to tell us that Bush is pushing for a draft.
