Senator Graham -

I was pleased  to see Republican leadership quietly achieve the sunset of the most worthless, unConstitutional legislation of the last ten years - the Assault Weapons Ban. Even the Clinton DoJ found it useless according to a 1999 study.

I could have wished the Repubs more vocal about Constitutional firearms freedoms, but RESULTS are more improtant than rhetoric.

Relatedly, I understand the House just voted to repeal the Washington DC handgun ban.

If that ban worked, why is gun violence SO RAMPANT in DC??? All it accomplished was a healthy supply of disarmed victims for a well armed criminal element.

Accordingly I request you vote to repeal this unCosntitutional ban. While it has little direct benefit for me personally, freedoms  benefits us all. Especially the Constitutional ones.

P.S. I understand you are not a Republican, and you are leaving the Senate. I simply urge you to consider how history will remember you - as a defender of the Constitution you SWORE to uphold, or just another feel good, knee Jerk liberal.
