This sounds like it was written by the Firesign Theater.

"The Adventures of Nick Danger"

I like Ray Bradbury's story...A Sound Of Thunder...time travel safari...history is completely changed from the simple act of stepping on a butterfly (or bug...I can't remember which one).

Didn't Firesign Theater also have the slogan, "Forward! Into the past!"...hehe

Time travel - it's a cornucopia of disturbing concepts.

Though my favorite Firesign was:

Indians: This is our mound
Cowboys: It's a beaut!
Indians: No it's a mound.
Cowboys: Can you move it?
Indians: But...but...why?
Cowboys: Cuz the railroad's a commin' through........right...now...
*train whistle*

Time travel is not only possible, it's commonplace - mandatory, even. Thing is, it's all in one direction and at a fixed rate.

Anyone that's seen Repo Man 50 times knows that UFOs really aren't UFOs at all.

That's right, you get it - they're time machines.

My favorite time travel movie is "Time Rider".  You have to be an off-road motorcyclist to appreciate it.  Produced by Peter Naismith of The Monkey's fame.  For me, it ranks right up there with On Any Sunday.

You know damned well all of you would love to travel back in time with a Hummer loaded with AR's and ammo to one of the wars in our history where they had inferior firepower and tactics and clean house... Instead of counting sheep I think about shit like that to put me to sleep.

I wish we could send Klinton/Gore and Kerry/Edwards back in time to see what real democrats had in mind. Think they be shot within a day?

NO, I think they would snow-job our forefathers and then everything we know today would be 10x worse than it already is. Odds are we'd be a true (communist/socialist) democracy rather than a republic. And I have no doubt there would be a clause in the constitution that states the president can have his junk sucked by anyone he choses.
