Who's down?
I'm going to look into T-shirts. Anyone with Photoshop knowledge, feel free to submit your designs...
Interesting
I might be in. Can we have some cool looking shirts |
You should add hunting in there.
Remember the Alamo, and God Bless Texas... |
the sig line should go something like this "To perserve the legal use of Assult Weapons in hunting and self defense"
Sounds good to me. Here is the question that no one has asked, What does it cost?
I was thinking about that. If you want a T-shirt, it would be at cost. If there were enough members to support a website, it would be run by donations...no membership fee.
any objections? |
I'm in, but Umm...I think that name would make us look like a bunch of insane right-wing militant gun-nuts...How bout a more subtle name...How about replace "Assault Weapon" with "rifle". That should make us more pleasing to the masses...
I prefer the term Sport Utility Rifle. If we get that one adopted on a wide scale our problems are over.
why feed the liberal antis by using their propoganda?
how about a "National Homeland Defense Rifle Assoc." or "Black Rifle Assoc." |
Something with a large clip? |
Too much "ass" in the name. National Assault Weapon Association.
CW |
No no, something that uses 30 clip magazines. |
BAWHAHHAHAHAHAHA I like sport utility rifle...sounds like it could suck in a few soccer moms... |
Better yet, go the BMW route and call them Sport Activity Rifles. CW |
The hot thing in SUV's are crossover vehicles...maybe crossover rifles?? |
assault weapon? what's that?
*for all stupid people: this is sarcasm. the ban's gone. there are no more assault weapons.) |
If I never heard the term "assault weapon" used again I'd be real happy. Especially when it's misused. You might as well call it the:
"National League of Scary Right Wing Militatant Straight White Males Against Gay Marriage who use Non Sporting Arms for Purposes Besides Hunting and Want to Hurt Your Babies and Commit Genocide on the Homeless Association" I'd be in if it had a cool acronym and logo though. How about: Second Ammendment Abosolutist Brotherhood--SAAB With a picture of two AR-15's crossed behind a dutch guy with wood shoes and a bandoleer of Dutch 30-06 ammo over each shoulder. That would be cool. or Brotherhood Against Negligent Gun Statutes--BANG With a picture of a nun in stockings holding a pistol with a little "bang" flag coming out the barrel. |
Okay I made 2 "quickie" designs -
one for the "Sport Utility Rifle Association" with an M4, an AK-47, an AR-15 w/a scope and a SS bull barrel, and a black-stocked Galil. The other has three AR-15 configurations (M4, M4/M203 and the scoped AR) and says "Black Rifle Society". http://home.earthlink.net/~cessna180/ Very rudimentary, will come up with something better tomorrow |
I second this idea. Less likely to scare the sheep and still gets the point across. |
and not nearly as scary as a CD with 4000 pictures of black rifles on it! |
If the word Association is appended, then I need to withdraw my suggestion. I don't think Sport Activity Rifle Association would go over well here.
CW |
I can't believe that you didn't use "National League of Scary Right Wing Militatant Straight White Males Against Gay Marriage who use Non Sporting Arms for Purposes Besides Hunting and Want to Hurt Your Babies and Commit Genocide on the Homeless Association" in your poll. It's perfect. The abrreviation is key.
It would definitely filter out the agents. Recruiter: "So mister Johnson, why do you want to join the NLSRWMSWMAGMNSAPBHWHYBCGHA?" Agent: "I'm sorry, I must have the wrong building, I thought this was the gun place" So I voted second best and went with "Psychos with Machineguns" |
I'm not big on "Black Rifle Society" because even though I know it implies the color of the gun, it sounds like "Evil Rifle Society" . An example of this is "Black Sabbath". I think it should be something more politically correct if you would like it to be recognized.
I'm all ears, seriously. |
I think I'd go with something more like "Sport Rifle Society". Well, that may not be a very good one, but something more along those lines.
OOOH, I got it, How about The National Rifle Association! |
How about just "Rifle Association"? Then we could all worship the sun god.
Seriously, still working on it. CW |

Pseudo Military Rifle Owners Group. (PMROG)
3%-er's (After the 3% of over all crime they were used in. Like the 1%-er's for bikers). Controversial Looking Rifle assn. (CoLoR-A) My Politically Incorrect Rifle (pronounced eMPIRe) Rifle Owners Against Rouge Rules (ROARR) AKOG = AK Owners Group. (I couldn't think of an AR version) Still thinking ETA: Orginaztion (Alumni) of Proud Participant's in Diane Finestein's Nightmare. |

We All Practice Alot-F@$k Off Or We'll F@#kin Shoot Ya.
I like it. W.A.P.A.-F.O.O.W.F.S.Y. |
Whatever you call it stay away from "Brotherhood" in the title if you're trying to be serious....sounds to cultistic. I'd be in if this turns into a serious venture.
Yes, we are our own worst enemy if we use the term "assault weapon" or "assault rifle" when referring to semiautos.
As of Sept. 13, there ain't no such thing as "assault weapon". I vote for: "National Homeland Defense Rifle Assoc." |
