I'm thinking of getting a fake can, but I have a preban upper w/flash hider.  I took the flash hider off, but i need a thread protector for the exposed threads.  Does anyone make these?  What is the thread pattern of a Bushmaster upper?  1/2x28tpi?

let me know if any of you have any info on this please!

Thanks!

would a vortex G6A1 work for that purpose since you don't need a washer?

Just a note, make sure your barrel is minimum 16" long WITHOUT the flash hider/brake on it... if you're going to install a threaded cap.....

If not, you've just created an illegal short-barrel rifle and commited a felony.

Bushmaster carbine barrels (this what you own?) are 14.5" long without the brake mounted.... illegal...

Not something you want to go out shooting with, in case some dickhead with an agenda decides to screw with you by calling the BATFE  or other such nonsense

I know.... it's a bit extreme, but weirder things have happened.......

No sense in taking unnecessary chances over an inch or so, ya know ?

Again, just a thought..   apply as needed
