Okay,

If you knew some one getting rid of a totally illegal gun but thought it would be a nice gun to add to your collections what would you do ?

Say it was a rare gun to find in the States and is fully auto and under 500$.

Now it may be stolen but doesnt matter because it is totally illegal anyways .

Is there any way to convert a fully auto gun to make it semi?

This is a real issue.

I have a friends who's dad died. In dad's collection was some nice H&K guns that were illegally converted to full auto.

He THREW THEM OUT in a dumpster!

I still don't understand why he didn't just convert them back and keep them.

Or like rasanders22 said, he could have destroyed the receivers and sold the parts. From a legal viewpoint, I don't think it would be any different from throwing it in a dumpster.

This ocasionally happens in denmark, and people will find left-over stuff from WW-2 or the resistance, like Sten guns, the ocacsional Bren, or old german stuff. My dentist had a really nice Luger in the glove compartment of his car.
