Someone help me out - I can't ID this pistol.

Extra points if you guess the actress and the movie.

looks like a Browning hi-power or CZ copy?

It almost looks like a Sig 210

edited to add - now that I see more than just the first picture, I don't think it's a Sig

edit: cause there's more pics.

Looks like a S&W 39 to me.  Maybe?

http://www.mst2-vietnam.info/images/Stoner_images/m39r.jpg

eta:  Nope, not S&W.  I found a pic of the opposite side and the 39 has a slide mounted safety (like most S&W autos).  Oh well.  Deceptive pictures though, the grip contour especially made it look like the S&W to me.  I'll go with everyone else and say CZ75, then.

I think you may have a Hollywood gun.  What movie is that from?

I'm calling that as a Beretta...

Well, I've looked at those pictures and I beleive it is either a CZ-75 or an E.A.A witness. The trigger guard is squared and looks to have a small hook on the bottom. The slide rails are INSIDE the frame. I would have to compare pictures of both guns to eliminate this feature or that. What movie is this from?

does look like a CZ75

Thats one of those Tanfoglio CZ75 copies called either a TA90 or TZ75 depending on who imported it.....they both had that blued finish while most real CZ75's had black paint...the smooth wood grips and the bright shinny full lenth guide rod is a givaway. Yes....I have had one of these. and real CZ's

I am thinking cz75 as well, rails inside the slide, and the placement of the controls made apparent in the last pic.

LOOKS like a CZ75, but also not like a CZ75 if you know what I mean.

Here are some more pics from the movie.

She is a bit older now, around 18 or 19 I guess. And she is one of my favorite actresses.

Tangfolio Compact

The gun in the movie is like a cross between these two.

Well I guess that eliminates Airsoft from the competition... Don't think they were around when Lawn Dogs came out in 1997. At least not with a CZ75 clone.

There was a scene in that movie where she is shown topless.

That scene gave me the creeps BIG TIME! I couldn't believe they showed it.

It is A CZ-75 compact.  It is not common or widespread in the states I've seen and held them.  I am 99.9% sure.  The 75 & 85 are more common but as far as compacts you are much more likely to see the NATO P-01 or the new RAMI models you will seldom come across the 75 compact you see pictured their is a picture of it in the "annual gun buyers guide"????????? on store shelves now.

Hollyweird often makes changes to weapons to avoid royalty payments. And they come up with some pretty hybrid shit.

If she is now 18 in those pix then I retract any hint of sarcastic hostility earlier in the thread.

it is a tanfoglio. tz-75 compact with standard slide. italian made gun. I'm not sure but i believe tanfoglio is currently owned by beretta.

I know beretta owns most every gun company in italy except for SAB.

Beretta owns.....

franchi
uberti
benelli
beretta(of course)
and I believe tanfoglio

I'd have to look at my book but they pretty much have a monopoly in italy. I wonder how SAB(they also make CZ clones) stays in business.

Something like Societi Armi Something...... It's an italian name. I think they were actually a sub division of Tanfoglio for a while before becoming they're own company.

http://www.gunsamerica.com/guns/976409957.htm there's one gun for sale. They made CZ clones one called the G90 I think.

They're called the Renato Gamba company.

http://www.renatogamba.it/catalogue/pistols.html

they're pistol is the G90. I believe they are the only pistol company in italy not under the control of Beretta. Well them and Bernardelli, but I Think beretta may have some hold on Bernardelli not sure. They're firearms business community over there is a spiderweb of crap. Mostly intertwined.

SAB is Societa' Armi Bresciane
