i saw only part of the clip and thought it was a tri motor..
thats just sad.

few few of them left...im going to go look at the blue trimotor in AOPA magazine and cry.


did the pilots make it?

Is that the one that crashed at Fullerton Airport(30 miles southeast of Los Angeles)?
If so, the pilots were extremely lucky, they walked away pretty much unhurt, and 2 woman on the ground in an automobile were hurt, but not seriously. The plane looked like a total loss, this happened on Fri the 24th.

I was able to step into one at a fly-in many years ago, but never rode in one.  The sheet metal looked so thin that it could be dented if I pressed on it hard enough.  I know, a sign of the times, but it's still amazing the engineering that went into making a light but sturdy passenger plane.
