China makes a huge range of reliable consumer products, I'm sure they can make a gun as good as the US, for 1/10 th the cost.
People who judge them on the crappy tools that wind up on Dollar store shelves here aren't reading the labels stamped on the backs of their TV's, Ipods, boots, etc... China has a huge economy being fueled by our every purchase. I wonder everytime I buy a product made in China if I will regret it in a few years. |

They should have stuck with their AK knockoff.
the kalashnikov...and their other independantly developed and home manufactured small arms systems...will still be in service for up to 10 to 15 years into the future. the change over to the 5.8 light rifle system will take decades to complete, given the scale and scope of the chinese military. the chinese spent years in the development of the 5.8 x 42 round. worthy of note is the fact that the chinese manufacture the type 97 in 5.56 x 45 for export sales. attention wal-mart gun firearm shoppers, there is a blue light special in aisle 5! |
