What is the standard issue rifle for a Chinese soldier?

I tried to do a google search, but all I got was nuclear weapons and some U.N. things about small arms.

China makes a huge range of reliable consumer products, I'm sure they can make a gun as good as the US, for 1/10 th the cost.

People who judge them on the crappy tools that wind up on Dollar store shelves here aren't reading the labels stamped on the backs of their TV's, Ipods, boots, etc...

China has a huge economy being fueled by our every purchase.  I wonder everytime I buy a product made in China if I will regret it in a few years.

Looks like a cross between a FA-MAS and an AR...

And...

5.8mm

Note to 30cal Zealots: EVEN CHINA IS ABANDONING 7.62MM AS AN ASSAULT RIFLE CALIBER!!!

They just had their inaugural Formula One race at brand new 300 million dollar racing facility in Shanghai.  If we don't watch our asses, they are going to bury us economically one day.
